A new Texan Friend

Bill and Alan with our guide to the Laguna de Guatavita, where the Legend of El Dorado originated. It was a beautiful hike with an interesting history lesson along the way.
Alan and Bill in front of an old cathedral in dowtown Bogota. It has now been renovated and is home to a school.
The three of us overlooking the northern section of Bogota from La Calera.
The most recent professor that came to Bogota for Alan's graduate classes stayed with us for 2 weeks. We really enjoyed getting to know him (He lives in Hunstville, Texas), talking about Texas, and showing him around Bogota and the surrounding areas. He loved Colombia and hopes to come back sometime with his wife. Above are some pictures of places we took him... Thanks for coming to Colombia, Bill!
