Behold the Vision

Below, you will see a picture of true beauty. My wife is wearing a clear visor shield. She had just undergone Lasik surgery on both eyes. The doctor taped her eyes closed to begin the healing process. She is standing next to Lisa, a friend who took her to the doctor while I worked at school. Lisa is going to go through this process soon, and they are their own support group. Needless to say, I enjoyed playing with Liz while she was blind and before the doctor removed the bandages.

Later that same day, Liz and I went back to the doctor for a follow-up. Liz read at 20/20 vision about five minutes after the bandages were off. Things are a little fuzzy still, and she thinks I look hairier then before the opertion. But, we couldn't have been happier with another doctor or surgery. Liz is healed and I can no longer tease her when she is blind.
